| Historical Map of Ireland As we enter a NEW MILLENNIUM it seemed appropriate to launch a new design featuring highlights of Irish history since civilisation. Using a number of small illustrations the map chronicles Ireland's past from the first arrival of man to the present day, including major historical events such as the reign of the High Kings of Ireland from the Hill Of Tara, the Battle of Kinsale which led to the Flight of the Earls and the Great Famine leading to mass emigration as well as the landing of the first transatlantic flight, the oldest whiskey distillery in the world and the sinking of the Lucitania. Included with the design is a special information sheet giving further detail about these highlights in Irish History from 4000 B.C. up to 2000 A.D. Fabric: 18 HPI Aida |
