We are looking forward to seeing many of our regular visitors again at the annual Knitting & Stitching Show at the RDS, Dublin, which runs from Thursday 2nd  to Sunday 5th November this year.

This year’s show features the usual shopping mall of over 100 specialist companies displaying everything from sewing machines, needles, wool and patterns to Japanese silks, crewel work, knitting, cross stitch and much more. As well as the Textile Gallery, a range of marvelous exhibitions, and The Learning Curve where you can learn a new skill or pick up new techniques.

Major features this year include Quilt 2000 where European quiltmakers compete for a top prize of £5,000 and Waves at Goldsmiths, a display of over 70 artists working with textiles.

We hope you will also include a visit to the Celtic Cross Stitch stand to see some of our own new products, have a chat and enter our daily free draw. See You There !!

The much requested Book Of Kells Letter 'L' is now available in both kit and chart pack. It is an ornate letter, incorporating intertwining Celtic birds along with other traditional Celtic designs, and originates from St. Mark's Gospel in the Book Of Kells.

Our Missing Chart Generator

We are working very hard to get the free chart generator back up online but since changing servers it has been refusing to work properly. Rest assured our technical guys are wrestling with the problem and hope to have it operational as soon as possible. We hope you will bear with us while we await its return. It is obviously so popular, by all the wonderful e-mails we have received, that we will have to have a big ONLINE CELEBRATION when it is eventually re-launched !!

Postal Charges in 2000

We have always been delighted to be able to send out your orders totally free of postal charges. However due to increasing costs unfortunatelywe have to introduce a small fee of £1 (US$1.40) per order towards postal charges on all orders outside Ireland and the U.K.

However, we have also amended our US$ prices in line with the more favourable exchange rates currently available, so for many of our overseas customers, prices have actually gone down !

Proud parents Gill and Vinny are delighted to announce the birth of their beautiful baby boy Rory Kieran Vincent Gannon on Thursday 4th February 1999. The little fella weighed in at 6lb 5oz and is doing fine.
